Remember
The 3/116th INF always did a great job when I went out on patrols with them. Their Soldiers were very professional, and they were very good at engaging the people of the area where I was working Civil Affairs missions. I felt confident and I felt safe being with them.
I know of two Soldiers from that unit that did not make it home. Please remember them and spare a thought for their families and loved ones.

There's also some surprised plants the yard. I don't think they expected the beer for the toast.
Thank you major. I served with both of them, and in the 3/116th. And I certainly appreciate this post.
Ditto on TSO's remarks. They were good men. I thought about them a lot yesterday. SSG Cherry taught me how to rig up a TOW missle.
3-116th INF won't soon forget those guys. Hopefully they never changed the name of Camp Cherry Beasley on Bagram... and hopefully they never will.
